Artistic Skating - Level 2

Service Description

Suitable for skaters aged 8 years to adults who have completed Artistic Skating Level 1, and who wish to progress to more complex elements in the discipline of artistic skating. Course structure: FREE SKATING Spins - upright, sit and camel spins, and combination spins Jumps - Salchow, Loop, Flip, Thoren, Lutz, and combination jumps Forward and backward closed mohawk and choctaw turns One foot turns - three, bracket, rocker, counter turns and loops Footwork sequences Body movement transitions - low, mid and high space Difficult entries FIGURES The discipline of Figures involves executing precise forward and backward edges and turns on circles marked on the skating floor. The practise of Figures is widely regarded as invaluable to developing skaters' skill in other artistic disciplines such as free skating. COSTS: Lessons: Term fee $185 incl.GST (9 weekly lessons - Wednesday 7 May to Wednesday 3 July) Additionally, Twin City Skate Membership is MANDATORY for insurance purposes: $40 per 12 months from date of payment (please see instructions on 'Our Classes' page)
